Do your framed pieces have a glass front?
All framed Kemi pieces are created without glass unless otherwise specified in the item description. The texture created by exposed paper adds to the appeal of our work.
I'm worried about dust. How do I clean a Kemi piece that does not have glass?
Because our framed pieces are hung vertically, very little dust makes its way into the crevices between the paper. A quick once-over with a hair dryer or compressed air canister will loosen any dust you may see.
Do you offer free local delivery?
We do! Do you live on the South Shore of Massachusetts? Please message us through the listing you are interested in to find out if you are eligible.
Can you create a custom order for me?
That is one of our favorite things to do! We would be happy to talk colors, textures, shapes, sizes. Contact us to get started. When you are ready to place the order, payment in full will be charged. Because of the personalized nature of custom orders, we are unable to accept returns.
Why can't you accept exchanges?
Every Kemi piece is an original. Even if we tried to recreate a design, it could never be exactly the same as the first. And since we cut, crimp and roll our paper ourselves, even the materials we use vary in size and texture within a project. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us as soon as possible. We do accept returns within 7 days. We would also be happy to work with you to determine if there is another of our designs you would like to purchase instead. (Oftentimes, we have a design in the works that is not yet listed in our Etsy store.)
What are your terms for Returns?
To start a return, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. All items must be returned to us within 14 days of delivery in their original condition. We will refund the cost of the item once it is received by Kemi Paper Studio. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If an item was damaged during shipping, please provide photos so that a claim with the shipper can be processed.
Do you offer combined shipping rates?
Yes! Actual shipping charges sometimes differ from what the Etsy Shipping Calculator computes for your order. We definitely don't want to charge you more than what shipping actually costs! What to do? Add as many items in your cart as you'd like and add a note at checkout: REFUND FOR SHIPPING OVERAGE. You will receive an automatic refund of any over-estimated charges when your order ships. (Don't worry. We pay attention to this sort of thing so if you forget to write the note, we have your back! Overages will always be refunded.)
I care about the environment. How about you?
We try very hard to reduce, reuse, recycle. For this reason, you may find that some of our shipping supplies are not exactly new. Whether it's bubble wrap from a package we have received or scraps of paper from our own recycle bins, we often get "creative" in the ways we package our creations to get to them to you safely. We appreciate your understanding if our packages aren't the prettiest!
